Portable Sawmill in lowell VT

North Country Milling was started in 2022 out of a passion for our Northern forests.  After many years making custom furniture, timber framing and cabinetmaking, I had a desire to get closer to the source of all the lumber I was using.  I purchased my Timberking B-20 portable sawmill in 2021, and begin learning the art and trade of a Sawyer.  What began as a hobby turned into a passion, and I switched to milling full time in the Fall of 2022.

We are blessed to live in an area with near limitless opportunity to responsibly harvest timber for our use.  Whether it is hardwood for furniture or cabinets, or softwood for building products, the forests of the Northeast are lush and plentiful.  And, best of all, if we use and harvest them responsibly, they will be here for every generation after us.
